2月20日下午，我院特邀英國劍橋大學Alexander David Carter教授為師生作題為“Can an AI be as creative as a human?”的學術報告。本次報告以線上形式舉行，由鄒小偉教授主持，我院60多名師生參加此次活動。
Carter教授重點從哲學層面出發，闡述了自發性悖論與AI創造性之間的關系。他結合藝術創作與模仿中的矛盾案例、語法與語義的思考討論等，解釋了AI無法像人類一樣具有創造力這一論點。講座中，Carter教授就“如何采取有效的技術和管理手段，提高AI的創造力”等問題與我院師生進行了熱烈討論。講座后Carter教授與學院部分教師就專業建設、科學研究、人才培養與國際合作交流等方面進行了座談。
專家介紹：
Dr. Alex David Carter graduated from the University of Essex with a PhD degree. He is Academic Director for Philosophy and Interdisciplinary Studies at the University of Cambridge, Institute of Continuing Education. He is also a Fellow at Fitzwilliam College providing study skills support to students. Professor Carter’s areas of research and expertise are Philosophy and Interdisciplinary Studies, he has designed and delivered courses in philosophy, ethics and creativity theory. He is currently researching the relationship between humour and creative practice via the concept of “serious play”.
